About me
My name is Khalid Al-Maghaslah. I am a family physician. I finished my training at University of Toronto, Canada in 2004. Since then, I have been practicing medicine in a primary care clinic in Al-Hasa, Saudi Arabia. I work full time at this clinic.
I started pursuing my second passion, health informatics, three years ago. Even though my relationship with computer technology started at the age of 12 years when I taught myself Basic programming language, the last three years is where the serious exploration into informatics started.
Currently, I am finishing my master’s degree in Health informatics at Central Queensland University, Australia.
Within informatics, I get excited about two things:
1. Presenting information to users in ways that supports their brains
2. Managing databases at the back end. (I am a certified Oracle dba with zero practice. Herzing College had a course close to home where the schedule was right for me at the time.)
